Hailing from the west side of Detroit, Big Sean attributes his recent breakout success to his mother’s putting him through private school and a chance meeting with Kanye West in 2005. Big Sean’s trademark ‘Super Duper’ rhyming style and poetic lyrics help him stand out in a field of talented rappers and hip-hop artists. In 2011, Big Sean was nominated for several prestigious music awards including BET Hip-Hop Awards for “CD of the Year” (Finally Famous), “Track of the Year” (My Last) and “Rookie of the Year.” That same year, his debut album Finally Famous topped the Billboard rap charts.
