Do bitters have alcohol?

Bitters are usually between 35% to 45% ABV, technically making them an alcoholic product. But there’s a little more to it. Since they're sold in such small bottles and their flavour is so strong, most cocktail recipes call for just a dash or a few drops, making their overall alcohol contribution insignificant.
