St. Patrick’s Day is the time we celebrate all things Irish. Many recent traditions include wearing green, decorating with clover and, of course, toasting with friends around some good drinks. While green beer may have its place, you might be looking for something a little more elevated. If so, we have plenty of cocktail options for you — all in emerald hues.
Delight your guests with festive cocktails that come in shades of green. The Mint Cooler, our version of a flavoured vodka mojito, looks gorgeous and celebratory with fresh mint leaves suspended in a mix of GREY GOOSE® Le Citron, simple syrup and soda. The Kiwi Fizz is similar, but with added kiwi and vanilla flavours. The Grey Goose Verte’s name even means green, which is fitting due to the Chartreuse. If you have a St. Patrick’s Day brunch, the Leafy Green is a great, green alternative to a Bloody Mary.
An eye-catching and palate-pleasing way to serve green cocktails is to opt for those that are full of fresh, green produce. The Honeydew Cooler is bursting with its namesake melon, the La Poire Caipiroska contains one whole lime and the Cucumber Fizz is lined with thin slices of cucumber for a stunning effect.
If you want to serve a drink that doesn’t have a green base, don’t worry. You can always go for lots of green garnish. For daytime events, the Bloody Mary — with a large celery stick thrown in — is always a classic, and the light-tasting Skinny Jeans is topped off with a single basil leaf.
And of course, simplest of all, you can always garnish many drinks with the classic garnishes of lime or mint leaves. A Vodka Soda gives you the perfect blank canvas to start with.
Whatever you decide to serve, your St. Patrick’s Day party is sure to be a hit.
