As one of the most popular cocktails in the world, vodka martini cocktails come with a rich history. Whether you order one at a bar or make one at home, whether it’s dry, wet, dirty, long or short, you’re in for a sophisticated serve. But there are several other flavor variations that you may have heard of as well, like lemon drop martini cocktails. We’ll go through these flavored types and let you explore the delicious world for yourself.
First things first, and this is a pretty big disclaimer: The drinks we’re about to talk about are not technically martini cocktails. To be classified as a vodka martini cocktail, the drink recipe has to include two key ingredients: vodka and vermouth. But many drinks have traditionally been called “martini cocktails,” often due to their being served in the classic martini cocktail glass. And those are exactly what we’ll explore.
Again, a Lemon Drop is not technically a martini cocktail. But it sure looks great served in a martini cocktail glass. This sweet but tart, bright yellow drink leans heavily into its namesake flavor with our GREY GOOSE® Le Citron flavored vodka.
The Espresso Martini Cocktail has experienced a recent resurgence in popularity, and it’s not hard to see why. The coffee flavored cocktail tastes smooth, slightly sweet and delicious. You can also explore many additional flavor variations of this drink, such as the Mocha Martini Cocktail, the Aperitivo Espresso and more.
Your martini cocktail can also coordinate with a specific time of year. For example, you can make just about any drink festive for the holidays with the right glassware and garnish, or mix up one of our seasonal cocktails, like the Spiced Apple Martini Cocktail or the Fall Martini Cocktail. There are some for the warmer months, too, like the Mid-Summer Martini Cocktail.
There are also more traditional martini cocktail recipes (meaning they contain vodka and vermouth) with subtle, seasonal flavors added in, like our Halloween Martini Cocktail or Holiday Martini Cocktail.
There are also several fruit-filled martini cocktails, like the Peartini which features Grey Goose La Poire and the Pomtini which incorporates pomegranate juice. The Pineapple Figtini is a beautiful show-stopper with a unique fruit flavor profile. Many fruit-tinis are on the sweeter side and come in eye-catching colors.
As every drop of Grey Goose is made in France, we’re a bit partial to cocktails inspired by our home country. That includes the French Martini Cocktail and the Parisian Martini Cocktail, featuring sweet vermouth as opposed to the dry vermouth typically used in a vodka martini cocktail.
While a classic martini vodka cocktail is always in vogue, experimenting with flavor can be a delicious experience. Have fun exploring the full list of martini cocktail recipes, flavored or traditional, or find your own perfect cocktail from our expansive list.
